Who We Are

Creative Sound & Aura was launched by Mike Cimatu, aka Cm2-dj, as a solo effort. It allows Mike to share his love of music with others and serves as a creative outlet.

The beginning

From his early days, Mike was intrigued with spinning records and watching crowds of people dance to the beat of the music. His first gig was in high school playing records during SGA sponsored music broadcasts over the school's PA system during home room period. In college he went on to perform gigs in dorm, frat & student union mixer parties. Mike's DJ’ing went on a hiatus as he built a successful career in the business and corporate world while successfully raising a family; but underneath, smoldered a very creative person.

The way back

Being in love with music his whole life, Mike seized an opportunity and jumped into the entertainment scene with both feet in 2012. First, resurrecting his love for vinyl and spinning records, he became known as Cm2-dj. Next, Mike segue'd into acting as he was discovered by local casting director and was cast as background/extras actor with recurring roles in high profile and successful HBO Veep and Netflix House of Cards cable TV series. Soon the big screen beckoned and he found himself cast in local indie films, eventually landing speaking roles in short film City of Lost Souls and Canned Hunt, a full feature film released in 2017 and distributed via Amazon Prime! Mike is also listed on IMDb.

The future

Motivated to further his DJ career, Mike launched Creative Sound & Aura in 2016, a DJ services company. Mike is also on the path of remixing and producing music.
